Boating holidays in Germany
Cruise Mecklenburg and Brandenburg
One of Europe’s most beautiful regions, the waterways of Brandenburg and Mecklenburg form a network of lakes and canals in an area of forests and farmland.
North of Berlin, and extending to the Baltic Sea, this region possesses historic palaces, castles and ancient towns, and is countryside worth exploring. The exceptional flora and fauna and undisturbed wildlife make it a paradise for naturalists.
Rheinsberg CastleThe lakes offer a wide range of water sports, especially the Muritz lake, Germany's largest.
The fishing is excellent with fish including eel, pike, carp, zander.
The historic towns of Potsdam and Brandenburg and the castles of Rheinsberg and Schwerin are all worth a visit. Whilst in this part of eastern Germany, you cannot miss the charm of Berlin, with its history, buildings, and 100 kilometres of canals with more bridges than Venice.
If these activities are not enough for you, then why not sample those wonderful German beers and visit the superb restaurants specialising in fish dishes.
